There are many reasons why organisations become involved with the Gosford Race Club and the racing industry as a whole. Some want to use the event as a corporate event, fundraiser, business network, thank you to clients, brand awareness, new product launch, or simply just have a great social day.

It is our aim to ensure that your sponsorship of a raceday is matched with your aims and objectives.

Sponsorship Benefits

Race Day sponsorship has unique opportunities over other venues, such as providing you with direct access to your target market. Racegoers are a captive audience once through the gate. They can see your organisation’s branding of the event around the grounds and in the race book. They can hear and feel the excitement of your race name being broadcast around the ground and identifying that experience with your company.

Also, all race meetings at Gosford Race Club are directly telecast through the SKY Channel and TVN networks, both nationally and internationally. The races are broadcast through 2KY and it’s nationally affiliates. This coverage gives unprecedented exposure for your company.

Proposal

For sponsorship of a standard raceday, remuneration is $11,000 (inc GST). This is in return for exclusive race day naming rights with the following benefits:

  • Naming rights to the day plus all scheduled races on the day. We schedule 8 races but on rare occasions may end up with 7 or 9 races.
  • Hospitality for 80 guests in an exclusive area located in the MJ Cusick Room including
  • Gate entry and racebook for all your guests
  • Appropriate Ticketing
  • Appropriate Armbands and Security
  • Succulent buffet luncheon to be served at an agreed time including:
    • Hot Roast Carvery (2 hot roast meats carved in front of guests)
    • Gourmet Salad (a selection of gourmet salads)
    • Potato Dish (Creamy Potato Bake)
    • Bread Roll
    • Assorted Dessert
    • Tea & Coffee
  • Beverage package from 12 noon until the start of the last race including Tooheys draught beers, selected bottled Red & White Wines, Champagne, soft drinks and water. (Spirits and packaged products are not included in beverage package but may be purchased at the bar.)
  • Additional guests are at an all inclusive price of $80 (inc GST) per person.
  • A trophy will be provided for each race, with the sponsor invited to present the trophies to the winning connections following the running of each race.
  • A presentation photo will be presented to the sponsor for each race to keep as a memento.
  • Limited additional General Admittance tickets are available to you for your use.
  • Recognition on all advertising for your raceday
  • Racebook ad per race (85mm x 200mm).
  • Winning Post Signage will be supplied for the main sponsor(6m x 1m).
  • Name recognition in all Newspaper and TAB Form Guides.
  • Name recognition on Radio 2KY and national affiliates.
  • Live coverage of the event through SKY, TVN and Foxtel Network with over 2m viewers both at home and hospitality venues. Races are telecast nationally as well as internationally into New Zealand, Asia and parts of America.
  • Opportunity to develop a promotional plan by mutual agreement for your company including Racebook competition, on course promotional displays etc.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of a scheduled race meeting being cancelled due to inclement weather after 11.00am on the scheduled day of the meeting, a phantom meeting will be held and the Gosford Race Club will meet its commitments in relation to pre booked food and beverage packages.

No refunds will be given in relation to food and beverage packages if the meeting is cancelled after 11.00am on the scheduled day of the meeting.

Sponsors will be required to pay for the food and beverage component of their agreed sponsorship package if the meeting is cancelled after 11.00am on the scheduled day of the meeting.

If the scheduled race meeting is cancelled before 11.00am on the scheduled day of the meeting, full refunds will be given and the meeting will be deemed abandoned.
